ISLAMABAD – On Thursday, police in Islamabad arrested Ali Muhammad Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), as well as Senator Ejaz Chaudhry.
Ali Muhammad Khan was taken into custody, according to the police, for violating the MPO.
Ali Muhammad was detained on his way to the Supreme Court. In accordance with the MPO, Senator Ejaz was detained in the Gilgit Baltistan House.
Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, and Shah Mehmood Quraishi were detained and sent to Adiala Jail earlier. According to the police, the PTI leaders were detained because they had been instigating violence.
