RAWALPINDI (Politico.pk)– Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, requested an exemption from court appearances and permission to go overseas, but the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi denied her plea.
The court deferred its decision on her appeal, dismissing both the exemption from attendance and the desire to depart the country.
Aleema Khan had submitted the petition just a few days before, demanding an exemption from personal court appearances and permission to travel internationally.
Earlier, the Lahore ATC granted temporary bail to Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan in vandalism charges from October 5.
The bail petition hearing was presided over by ATC Judge Arshad Javed. Aleema Khan did not present in court, but her legal counsel requested a one-day exemption on her behalf.
After reviewing the pleas, the ATC extended interim bails till May 30.
