LAHORE – The former chief minister Parvez Elahi’s issue regarding the unauthorized distribution of forest land has been renewed.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) claims that the former chief minister gave land to a real estate mogul for the construction of a housing society.
The NAB had until September 25 to obtain information from the deputy commissioners (DC) of 15 districts, including Islamabad, on the sales and purchases of mobile and immovable assets made by 14 people, including Elahi, private town owners, and land revenue officers of Rawalpindi.
Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Gwadar, Multan, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Peshawar, Attock, Sheikhupura, Jhelum, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala are among the DCs from which information is requested.

Javed Majeed, Ghulam Muhammad Sikandar, Jahangir Ghori, Jameel Ahmed, Irfan Elahi, Syed Jamal Mustafa, Asif Qureshi, Anwarul Haque, Shafqat Ali Mirza, Tasawar Hussain, Muhammad Nawaz, Khalid Masood, and Abdul Zahoor are the officials whose financial information has been requested by the NAB.
You might remember that Elahi is charged with conspiring with officials from the Forest Department to illegally transfer land from the Takht Pari forest near Rawalpindi to a private individual.
