ISLAMABAD, (Web Desk) – According to reports, the cabinet of caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar is expected to take the oath today at 5 p.m., after an official release of the names of selected members.

According to them, the premier finished his cabinet consultation on Wednesday, with some well-known individuals being suggested for crucial positions in the caretaker setup.

Gohar Ejaz has been nominated as commerce and industry minister, and Dr Tabish as energy minister, with Aneeq Ahmad and Dr Umar Saif also expected to be chosen as interim ministers, according to reports.

Sarfraz Bugti, Muhammad Ali, Jalil Abbas Jilani, and Sultan Ali Allana were all mentioned as potential cabinet members..

Mr Kakar’s cabinet is nearly complete, since Hafeez Shaikh and Reza Baqir are not among the contenders being considered for the coveted finance minister position.
Ex-finance minister Shaikh and former State Bank governor Baqir were both in power when the present economic crisis broke out, causing inflation and interest rates to reach all-time highs.

According to reports, Sultan Ali Allana, a well-known banker who is now the head of Habib Bank and a director of the Aga Khan Fund for Development, was chosen yesterday (Tuesday) to lead the ministry at this trying time.

As a result, two more names are currently being considered for the caretaker finance minister, with the new cabinet expected to be unveiled today (Wednesday) and the oath taking scheduled for tomorrow. As a result, Kakar is in the last stages of talks to finalize the process.

According to reports, Jalil Abbas Jilani, a former foreign secretary and ambassador to the United States, would be the minister of foreign affairs, while Syed Muhammad Ali – not Muhammad Ali Durrani, as some have speculated – will be the minister of information.

Senator Safraz Bugti, the former Balochistan home minister, is expected to be appointed as interior minister during the caretaker period.
