ISLAMABAD (Politico.PK) – Omar Ayub, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, has accused the administration of silencing the media and failing to maintain peace and order.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament alongside Barrister Gohar, Ayub expressed worry over fuel smuggling at the Balochistan border and condemned the use of PECA laws to stifle the press.
He also expressed concern about the country’s worsening law and order situation.
Barrister Gohar, the PTI Chairman, expressed unhappiness with President Asif Ali Zardari’s message, claiming that it failed to unify the country.
He said that the president did not engage with the opposition and had no role in promoting national unity.
Meanwhile, Sahibzada Hamid Raza claimed that PTI founder Imran Khan would be released without a bargain in the next three months.
He repeated his stance, claiming Khan’s release is soon.
