Political talk programs have witnessed intense argument between opponents, but one such event on a private television station devolved into a wrestling ring between leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, the lawyer for PTI Chairman Imran Khan, and PML-N Senator Dr Afnan Ullah Khan were recently embroiled in a scuffle on a television broadcast.

Both leaders verified the event, which the senator reported on the microblogging service X, formerly known as Twitter.
Marwat suddenly struck the senator during a heated dispute in which the lawyer and senator used foul words. Initially pushing one other, they soon resorted to slaps and began hitting each other.

It was only due to the TV show crew’s intervention that both the politicians were separated.
