ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – In the infamous tweet case, an Islamabad court postponed the indictment hearings against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Azam Khan Swati.
The contentious tweet case against Azam Swati was heard by the Special Judge Central in Islamabad. Due to the absence of the PTI leader, the court postponed the indictment procedures.
During the hearing, the FIA prosecutor asked the court to issue Mr Swati with a non-bailable arrest warrant. The investigating officer said that the warrant was executed, although Mr Swati was not present at his residence at the time.
The counsel for Azam Swati informed the court that he had no interaction with Mr Swati. He said he had no idea when the investigating officer went to Swati’s house to give over the court order.
Azam Khan, Special Judge Central, later summoned the officer who carried out the warrant.
