On Tuesday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Political Committee met under the supervision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The premier, according to information, took the party leadership’s confidence in Pervaiz Elahi’s candidacy as Chief Minister during the meeting. The political situation, particularly the no-confidence move, was discussed at the meeting.
A briefing on the government delegation’s meeting with the MQM was also presented. Senior members of the party’s leadership and ministries were also in attendance.
According to sources familiar with the situation, Usman Buzdar resigned as Chief Minister (CM), following which the PTI administration nominated Pervaiz Elahi for the position.
