LAHORE – Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), went the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday to request early hearings on bail applications filed in eight cases relating to the May 9 mayhem.
The PTI founder filed many applications through his lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar.
Imran said that he and his party were targeted politically by being named in the May 9 cases.
The plea reminded that the last hearing on the bail application was held on January 16, following which no date was set for hearing those instances.
The former premier has requested that the bail petitions be heard soon, claiming that “justice must not only be done, but must also be seen to be done”.
