ISLAMABAD : According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the recent incidence of destruction of the Holy Quran in front of an Iraqi Embassy in Denmark has severely distressed Muslims throughout the globe.
On Tuesday, he tweeted that the people of Pakistan were in great suffering and sorrow. He said that the repeated pattern of these heinous and Satanic occurrences was part of a devious plan to disrupt interfaith ties, undermine peace and harmony, and spread religious intolerance and Islamophobia.
The Prime Minister urged nations, particularly religion leaders, to put a stop to such heinous acts. He said that we should not allow a small group of misinformed and cruel individuals to damage the feelings of billions of people. These forces, he continued, should not be permitted to dictate their malicious agenda.
