(Web Desk) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice head and chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s highly anticipated meeting on Wednesday at Zaman Park in Lahore did not result in the release of a “joint statement.”
After being detained for about a month, Mr. Qureshi was freed the other day. He spent about an hour with the party chairman before leaving quickly without holding a news conference, despite being promised one.
Insiders claim that Mr. Qureshi and the PTI leader met privately in a one-on-one setting. On the party website, the PTI social media only posted one image of the leaders.
Before the meeting, there were reports that they would talk about the next steps to take if the party chairman was found to be ineligible.
According to insiders, the meeting included tense exchanges between the two leaders as well, after which the vice chairman hastily departed without speaking to the media.
