LONDON (Web Desk) – On Saturday, British MPs were angry and upset that they couldn’t talk to the head of the PTI because his internet link had been cut off before a Zoom meeting with them.

MPs from the Conservative Party, one of the two main political groups in the UK, were supposed to have a zoom call with Imran Khan, but he was not able to join because the internet was acting up.

Azeem Ibrahim, who was at the meeting, told a news source that the MPs were “angry and annoyed” that they couldn’t talk to Imran Khan.

“The idea came from Lord Daniel Hannan, who cares a lot about Pakistan and has met Imran Khan when he’s been there,” Mr. Ibrahim said.

He said that the Zoom call was set up with the help of Imran Khan’s former assistant Zulfi Bukhari. The goal was to get a straight update from Imran Khan on what was going on, but Mr. Bukhari told the meeting that Mr. Khan’s internet was cut off around 6pm Pakistan time, so he won’t be able to join.

Later, the MP for Hyndburn and Haslingden, Sara Britcliffe, shared a picture of her Zoom meeting with Mr. Bukhari and said she wasn’t happy about it in a tweet.

She said, “Mr. Khan was about to join the call when, without warning, Pakistan’s telecoms authorities cut off internet connections to his compound.”

She also said that she was worried about Pakistan’s economy and government. She also said that political prisoners should be freed and media should be safe.
