ISLAMABAD – Members of Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s caretaker administration took their oaths of office on Thursday, facing extraordinary economic and political hurdles. At a ceremony attended by the prime minister and other authorities, President Dr Arif Alvi administered the oath of office to cabinet members. Sarfraz Bugti has been sworn in as caretaker interior minister, Aniq Ahmad has been appointed religion minister, Dr Nadeem Jan has been appointed health minister, and Ahmed Irfan Aslam has been appointed law minister. Furthermore, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar has been appointed as the country’s temporary finance minister, while Murtaza Solangi has been appointed as the country’s communication minister. Jalil Abbas Jilani will be appointed foreign minister, Umar Saif as information technology minister, and Shahid Ashraf Tarar as communication minister.

Furthermore, Muhammad Ali has been appointed temporary minister of energy, Gohar Ejaz as trade minister, Sami Saeed as planning minister, and Jamal Shah as minister of national heritage and culture.

Madad Ali Sindhi will become federal education minister, while Khalil George will serve as temporary human rights minister.
