At the PM House, Kakar gets a guard of honor.

ISLAMABAD – Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the interim prime minister, received guard of honor on Monday during a ceremony at the Prime Minister House.

The guard of honour was provided by a well-dressed group of the armed services. On this occasion, the national anthem was also played.

On Monday, Kakar took his oath of office to become Pakistan’s seventh interim prime minister.

During a brief ceremony at the President House in the nation’s capital, President Arif Alvi swore in the acting prime minister.

Shehbaz Sharif, a former prime minister who attended the event, praised the newly chosen temporary premier.
