PM Imran Khan is expected to address the nation today: Rashid Sheikh

Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to address the country today ahead of the discussion on the joint opposition’s no-confidence resolution against the premier.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid told the media that the prime minister will address the public later today following an extraordinary meeting of the federal cabinet.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has called a special session of the federal cabinet today, and leaders of allied parties have been asked to participate.

Cabinet members and other participants would be kept in the loop on the menacing document.

Federal Ministers from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) resigned on Wednesday after their party chose to support the opposition in the no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Farogh Nasim, Federal Minister for Law, and Amin-ul-Haque, Federal Minister for Information and Technology, have both verified the news and announced their resignations to the Prime Minister’s Office.

As the vote day on the Opposition’s no-trust resolution approaches, the government has been dealt two blows in a row.
