Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will leave for the United States on May 17, according to Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar.

On Thursday, he told a weekly press conference in Islamabad that the foreign minister will meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on May 18.

Pakistan has never closed its doors to dialogue and seeks cordial relations with all countries, including India, according to the statement.

Asim Iftikhar went on to remark that the discussions with India stalled because of New Delhi’s actions in occupied Kashmir, and that India now has the obligation of creating a favourable climate for negotiations.
