ISLAMABAD (Politico.pk) The Pakistan Constitutional Protection Movement, Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan (TTAP), has stated that it is prepared to accept the Prime Minister’s offer of talks, stating that a new charter is a crucial component of the talks.

TTAP leaders said in a statement released here on Thursday that the Prime Minister’s call for discussions was taken into consideration at the meeting and that it was decided that a new charter is urgently needed to help the nation escape its political and economic crises.

The meeting’s attendees stated that they are prepared for discussion aimed at bolstering constitutional and democratic ideals, human rights, and the rule of law.

Mahmood Khan Achakzai presided over the alliance’s meeting. Asad Qaiser and Vice Chairman Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas were present during the meeting.

The opposition’s two-day national conference was deemed a success.

The notification of the meeting stated that on February 8, discussions were held worldwide, including in Pakistan, regarding the plan for a black day and strike.

The opposition coalition said that they were prepared for transparent elections, parliamentary supremacy under the new charter, and the selection of a unanimous new election commissioner.

The proclamation states that the founder of the PTI has agreed to sign a new charter provided the 1973 constitution, parliamentary, and civilian supremacy are restored.

The notification states that the creation of district and provincial subcommittees will be announced shortly.
