ISLAMABAD (Politico.pk) : Twenty-four former lawmakers, including seven members of the Sindh and Balochistan provincial legislatures and ten members of the National Assembly (MNA), have been disqualified for failing to disclose to the Election Commission (ECP) the specifics of their holdings for the 2022–2023 fiscal year.

The ECP rendered a decision in the instance of lawmakers who failed to submit their 2022–2023 wealth declarations.

According to the ECP’s order, unless these former members provide the necessary information, they will not be eligible to vote in general, by-election, or Senate elections.

Khurram Dastgir Khan, Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha, Muhammad Adil, Rana Ishaq Khan, Kamaluddin, and Ismatullah are among the previous MNAs who were deemed ineligible. Additionally, four women have been disqualified: Rubina Irfan, Shameem Ara Panhwar, Nasiba, and Samina Matloob.

Former Sindh Assembly members Adil Ahmed, Hizbullah Bhayo, Arsalan Taj Hussain, Arif Mustafa Jatoi, Imran Ali Shah, Ali Ghulam, and Tahira were all deemed ineligible by the ECP.

Mir Sikandar Ali, Mir Muhammad Akbar, Sardar Yar Rind, Abdul Rashid, Abdul Wahid Siddiqui, Mir Hamaal, and Bibi Shaheena were all deemed ineligible to serve in the provincial legislature of Balochistan.
