ISLAMABAD (APP): The Supreme Court issued a ten-page written order on Saturday in instances requesting general elections within 90 days.

According to the decision, the court assisted the President and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in determining the date of the elections.

According to the statement, all parties agreed on a definite date for elections on February 8.

According to the order, the time has come for the courts to refrain from becoming involved in time-wasting conflicts.

The ruling was written by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa. It was alleged that the ECP did not respond to the President’s letter.

According to the constitution, the Supreme Court has no jurisdiction to fix election dates.

If one institution interferes with another’s constitutional restrictions, the repercussions will be severe.

The written ruling further said that the issue between the President and the ECP was taken before the Supreme Court needlessly, and that the court did not meddle in the business of either institution.

Some individuals were concerned that the elections would not take place, according to the report.

The president, chief election commissioner, and members are obligated by the constitution’s oath, it stated, adding that there is no justification for a constitutional body or official to be unfamiliar with the constitution.

The court noted that we must learn from history that violating the constitution has a detrimental influence on the people and the geographical location of the country.

According to the judgment, Justice Mazhar Alam had deferred to Parliament on the matter of Article 6 application. A notification on the election date has been released, with the president’s approval.

On February 8, the highest court directed the federal and all provincial administrations to guarantee that the election process be completed without any obstacles.

According to the official directive, spreading misleading tales and providing incorrect information undermines democracy.
