LAHORE – Within minutes of their release from the Kot Lakhpat Jail, the investigation division of the Lahore Police detained four Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) women activists once more.
Nine PTI-affiliated women activists who had been imprisoned in connection with the case surrounding the Jinnah House attack had previously been ordered to be released by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).
Four PTI women activists were reportedly detained again not long after being released from prison.
Sanam Javed, Shah Bano, Afshan Tariq, and Ashma Shuja were all detained once again. Soon after they were freed, all four PTI women activists were detained outside the Kot Lakhpat jail.
The PTI women activists were allegedly detained in connection with another incident on May 9 that was reported to the Sarwar Road police station, according to the police.
The police station has taken all four PTI activists for further inquiry.
