ISLAMABAD (Politico.pk) — On Tuesday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Interior Attaullah Tarar chastised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) head.

“The Toshakhana case has entered the final stage,” Tarar remarked during a press briefing. The accused and his counsel had no response when the hearing was held today. The PTI head stated that he “did not directly receive any gifts.”

“The PTI chief had not declared the gifts he received,” Tarar said. It’s terribly unfortunate when people make too many excuses in court. It was essential to disclose the gifts after receiving them.”

“The person who used to request receipts from others no longer responds,” Tarar stated.

Tarar explained that the fuel charge was implemented as part of an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He noted that meeting the pledges made by foreign lenders is critical.
