LAHORE – The former governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Sarwar, visited the head of the South Punjab (SP) chapter of the Pakistan People’s Party, Makhdoom Syed Ahmed, and the former prime minister, Yusuf Raza Gillani, on Monday.
The country’s economic and political conditions were discussed, and it was decided that everyone needed to contribute to the country’s progress.
According to Mr. Gillani, if the institution keeps its vow to stay out of politics, it would promote democracy and advance the nation. “If somebody is discovered to be in violation of Article 6 of the Pakistani Constitution, he would be dealt with in accordance with the law,” he said.
The former prime minister said that the party was attempting to carry on Benazir Bhutto’s goal and added that we had made it feasible to remove a prime minister (Imran Khan) via a vote of no confidence for the first time in Pakistani history. “Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari overthrew the PTI administration, not Joe Biden,” he said.
The PPP SP president said that whereas terrorists seized rights out of fear, dictatorships seized liberties at gunpoint. He said, “Benazir once said that terrorism and authoritarianism were two sides of the same coin. He said that Ms. Bhutto really represented farmers and workers and favoured unifying politics to dividing ones.
