RAWALPINDI – Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former prime minister, arrived in Rawalpindi on Saturday as the party’s power show got underway “soundly.”
The long march officially began after remarks by PTI leaders Fawad Chaudry, Sheikh Rashid, the head of the AML, and other PTI leaders.
If patriotism is classified as an insurgency, PTI leader Murad Saeed stated that the party’s leadership would prefer to stay “estranged.”
Speaking to the marchers, Murad made fun of the authorities, charging them with treachery and saying that anyone who discussed the legal system would be tortured. He said that the PTI leadership has vowed to combat plots from the within and the outside.
Murad expressed his feelings on the murder of prominent journalist Arshad Sharif and called for the prosecution of Arshad’s assassins. Speaking of the shooting, Murad claimed that Imran was still “flawless” even after the PTI chief’s assassination attempt.
