ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated on Saturday that the economy, which had been wrecked by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, is getting back on track.
On Twitter, the prime minister said, “It is by Allah’s favour that the Pakistani rupee was the best performing currency versus the dollar in the world.”
“In one week, the rupee gained 3.9 percent versus the dollar and ended the week at Rs 219.92,” he noted.
PM Shehbaz went on to say that “the hard work of Finance Minister Ishaq Daris is bearing fruit, and the economy that Imran Khan ruined is getting back on track.”
