LAHORE () – During the holy month of Ramadan, the faithful began gathering on mosques and Eidgahs in the early morning to give their Eid prayers and show their gratitude to Allah Almighty, who pardoned their sins in exchange for their fasts, alms, charity, and other acts of devotion.

The meaning of this auspicious day was clarified by ulema and khateebs, who also reminded their audience to remember the needy and impoverished in their joy.

To thwart the dark and devious schemes of enemies of Pakistan and mankind, they emphasized unity among their ranks. The followers hugged one other as a way to greet each other on Eid after finishing their prayers.

Eid assemblies are held almost everywhere in large mosques and Eidgahs. Jinnah Bagh, Jamia Ashrafia, Jamia Naemia, Badshahi Masjid, Data Darbar,Minar-e-Pakistan are among the main places where devotees offer their Eid prayers.
