LAHORE – Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Parvez Elahi, who is presently detained, was transferred to PIC Lahore in the early hours of Sunday night due to his poor condition.
According to sources, former CM Parvez Elahi was suffering from heart difficulties and his health was deteriorating while in detention. The ex-CM was taken under severe security measures, and a large police detachment was stationed outside the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
Parvez Elahi has undertaken many tests to establish the source of his discomfort. After an hours-long examination, the authorities determined that his medical condition had stabilised and chose to transfer him to a camp prison. Mr. Elahi was taken back to the prison under tight security.
It is worth noting that Parvez Elahi is now detained in camp prison due to his judicial remand in a case involving fraudulent inductions into the Punjab Assembly’s staff.
