ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Former MPA Nadia Aziz chose to quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday, dealing another blow to the party.

Ms Aziz addressed the news conference, stating, “I was not involved in any protest during the May 9 riots.”

“The martyrs sacrificed their lives for the security and safety of the country,” she said of the troops. I never said anything negative about the troops.”

Ms Aziz, when asked about her political future, said that she was temporarily leaving politics.

Ms Aziz said that individuals responsible for the May 9 violence should face punishment.

“I’ve always practised nonviolent politics.” “There is an urgent need for women to be respected,” she stated.

Tariq Mehmoodul Hasan announced his resignation from the struggling party earlier today.

Mr Hasan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis, remarked during a news conference in London, “I come before you today with a heavy heart.” Mr Memon remarked of the May 9 riots, “May 9 vandalism has shaken the nation.”

He lauded the military, stating, “I also wanted to pay tribute to the Pakistan Army, whose soldiers laid down their lives for the country.”

He hoped that the people will recover quickly after the events on May 9.

Former Sindh governor Imran Ismail resigned from the party and all party positions on Saturday.

He made the news at a press conference. He was a founding member of the PTI and said that the party’s goal was to improve the nation.

He said that the PTI was given the opportunity to run the nation in the 2018 elections and that it attempted to improve the situation. “After Imran Khan was dethroned, the PTI resumed its efforts to reclaim power, and a narrative emerged that the PTI was anti-Establishment,” Mr Ismail said.

He said that Imran Khan was detained, and that violent riots erupted throughout the nation, with rioters attacking the Jinnah House on May 9. He said that those responsible for the assaults should face punishment. “A soldier gives his life for the country because he knows his countrymen will always support him and respect his sacrifices,” he added, adding that everyone should be proud of the sacrifices made by the security forces.

The former governor said that this would be his last news conference since he would no longer be involved in the country’s politics in the future.

Previously, a Karachi anti-terrorism court ordered the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Sindh governor Imran Ismail. The investigation officer produced a thorough report stating that no significant evidence linking Imran Ismail to the May 9 commotion was discovered.

The court accepted the police findings and declared Imran Ismail innocent of the rioting that erupted after Imran Khan’s imprisonment.

Meanwhile, he was freed from Karachi’s Central Jail.

After the May 9 violence, former special assistant to Punjab chief minister Firdous Ashiq Awan chose to quit the party on Friday.

Ms Awan, speaking at a news conference, criticised the events of May 9. She said the damage at Zaman Park was premeditated.

“A foreign agenda conspiracy was hatched aimed at dishonouring the country’s institutions and pleasing foreign masters,” she alleged.

Ms Awan said that she was leaving the PTI due to the party’s aggressive and terrorist actions.

“I believe that the martyrs’ love and respect for their country are part of our faith,” she remarked. Those who humiliated the martyrs were attacking Pakistan’s foundation and ideology.”

According to Ms Awan, Imran Khan and the nation cannot run together.

Ms Awan said on her political career, “I will continue my political journey and serve the nation.” My political adventure will continue since the goal of our politics is to improve the lives of the people in our district.”
