Punjab MPs are being urged by the PTI to vote for Pervaiz Elahi or face legal action under Article 63 if they do not.

Members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Punjab Assembly have been told to vote for Pervaiz Elahi for Chief Minister.

Failure to vote on election day will be regarded a breach of party discipline, according to the PTI’s announcement.

MPs who are absent or vote against their party’s nomination would face sanctions under Article 63, according to the warning.
